How to Root Asus Transformer TF300T on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean

Pre requisites:
Make backup of all data present in your device, so make sure that if you lose any data or corrupt any data, the same data can be restored.

SMS – Use “SMS Backup & Restore app”,
Contacts – Sync with the Gmail application,
Images, Songs, Videos, Files – Copy to internal / External SD Card,
APN and MMS Settings – Note down from the path “Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names
  • The battery must be fully charged for your device at least 60% in order to make sure that the device cannot be stopped in the middle of updating the firmware.
  • Make sure USB Debugging Mode is enabled on your device.

  • Make sure your device has USB port enabled auto complete read / write access.
  • Install all drivers for Asus Transformer TF300T device in your computer.

  1. Download the asus.7z zip file to your computer.
  2. Extract file in the same name folder to get asus.zip.
  3. Connect your device to the computer using the original USB cable
  4. Place the zip file in the device.
  5.  After the file it’s placed, disconnect the device and turn off the same so that it can be entered in the recovery mode.
  6.  Press and Hold Volume Down button + Power button in the same time to enter the device in the recovery mode till you see the message “Press Volume Up to enter RCK (5s)”.

  11. After the file is selected, wait around 3 – 4 minutes for applying the zip package.
  12. After the rooting package is applied successfully, wait now than expected for booting up the device. (it may take longer time). Ensure that you are not pressing the power button in the process of device being booted up.
Now you successfully rooted the device.
Download the “Root Checker” app from the Google PLAY Store and check if the device has been rooted or not.
Note: If your ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T device refuses to turn ON or say if it gets stuck on the ASUS Logo then you need to long press the power button to turn off the same or re insert the battery to start the process from beginning.
